Introduction

This section is for anyone meeting Semaphore for the first time, whether you will install it or only use it. It answers the questions that come before any procedure: what the product does, what a deployment is made of, what the words in the interface mean, and what you need to have ready.

Read it once, in order, and the rest of the documentation stops needing explanation. Nothing here asks you to install anything — Getting Started does that.
